This antibody is intended for in vitro diagnostic use. Ventana Medical Systems. Inc. (Ventana) CEA (TF 3H8-1) Primary Antibody may be used to aid in the identification of cells of normal and abnormal epithelial lineage as an aid in diagnosis of anaplastic tumors. CEA (TF 3H8-1) Primary Antibody specifically binds to antigens located in the plasma membrane and cytoplasmic regions of normal simple epithelial cells. CEA (TF 3H8-1) is a mouse monoclonal antibody (IgG1) directed against carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). The clinical interpretation of any staining, or the absence of staining, must be complemented by morphological studies and evaluation of proper controls. Evaluation must be made by a qualified pathologist within the context of the patient’s clinical history and other diagnostic tests.
