GMS II Staining Kit is intended for use as a qualitative histologic stain to demonstrate polysaccharides in the cell walls of fungi and other opportunistic organisms in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. This stain is primarily used to distinguish pathogenic fungi such as Aspergillus and Blastomyces1 and other opportunistic organisms such as Pneumocystis carinii in tissue sections.
This product should be interpreted by a qualified pathologist in conjunction with histological examination, relevant clinical information, and proper controls.
This product is intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.
